What does the New Mexico Autism Society do?

We are a chapter of the Autism Society of America and follow their mission statement: "… to promote lifelong access and opportunities for persons within the autism spectrum, and their families, to be fully included participating members of their communities..." Education, advocacy, public awareness efforts and the promotion of research form the cornerstones of ASA's activities.

Specifically in New Mexico we:

Meet monthly from September through June on the third Thursday evening at 7 PM. Our meetings are usually held at Mark Twain Elementary, 6316 Constitution NE, Albuquerque. There is an educational program at all meetings. Free child & teen care is available by calling at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. Please call for more exact meeting information.
